In another weird twist, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins continue to follow the parent club's script, as after earning an overtime win on Wednesday they took another home win to earn a Game 4 victory and square their series with the Hershey Bears at 2-2 with a pivotal Game 5 looming Saturday night (although in this case, the Pens host that contest due to the AHL's 2-3-2 format).
Wilkes-Barre jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the first period, and added a fourth before the Bears got on the board when Grant McNeil scored with 1:04 left in the second period.
Hershey made things a bit more interesting in the third when Steve Pinizzotto scored 4:47 into the third, but a Penguins tally with 4:39 left put the game away. Keith Aucoin briefly put the Bears two goals back with 2:05 to play, but the Baby Pens added an empty-netter for a 6-3 final.
After Game 5 Saturday, Game 6 will be played at Giant Center with the winner Saturday getting a chance to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals.
