'It’s Their Decision and I Won’t Judge Them'

While the Capitals didn't do too badly for themselves replacing Sergei Fedorov and Victor Kozlov with Mike Knuble and Brendan Morrison, one factor that the Caps have to face is that Alexander Ovechkin's core of Russians is now down to Alexander Semin and Simeon Varlamov.

The Caps' star says it was a shame he lost his comrades to the KHL, according to Russia Today.

"My attitude towards their departure is negative. We became great friends – that's why I was a little upset when they left. But it's their decision and I won't judge them."

However, armed with his big contract, don't expect Ovechkin to be joining them in his homeland anytime soon.

"It'll happen only in case of an NHL lockout, if there'll ever be any, of course."
