Well, after a brief tenure at the Washington Times, recent developments in the paper's, um, forward-thinking strategy has obliterated the non-compete concerns for me working there and blogging for CapCentre.net.
For all the friends who have contacted me over the past couple of days, I send many thanks, and certainly wish the best for those remaining at what appears to be a not-so-secure future at the Times.
Regardless of my personal employment, I also will miss the Times' terrific sports section, and working closely with that department certainly made me appreciate their hard work and talent even more. Despite not having the larger resources of the big brother downtown, they really did a tremendous job, including Corey's terrific coverage of the Capitals.
As for CapCentre.net, there may be a few new additions to the roster. Justin Creech has done a great job keeping the site going during my tenure on New York Avenue, and will certainly remain a big part of the site going forward. There may also be the addition of some guest writers in the near future, as several people have expressed interest in being part of the site.
So, as the calendar shifts to 2010, CapCentre.net certainly will be better than it was in its first calendar year as the site moves forward.
